Following NYFW, I headed straight to London to work my first season in that market with my agency First Model Management. Straight off an 8:30am flight from JFK, I brushed my teeth, dropped my luggage, picked up cards from my agency, and then I was off for a full day packed with castings! Little did I know that my first show in London fashion week would be walking for Marta Jakubowski the following day...
I kicked off this season in London walking for Marta’s SS20 collection. The hair and makeup was minimal, like Marta’s designs, yet, incredibly fresh. With a dramatic side parted slick hair style, a nude-natural eye, and amazing baby blue nails, this was a look I could get used to.
Come time to get dressed for first looks, it was bustling back stage at The 180 Strand! Marta and her team were excitedly running around backstage, as the girls got ready. In the lineup, we all stand in anticipation as Marta and her incredible assistants check all the last details.
Then, it was show time! The music was loud and amazingly catchy, and it was a long runway, haha!! My look was a sleek, classic, white button down with a slit across the shoulder. With a layered skirt peaking out, and a pair of kitten heals, I felt classic, yet, modern, and perfectly making a statement all while be minimalistic.
Marta Jakubowski is a Polish born designer, and I am so thrilled to have started the season with her. I am loving London, and can’t wait to see what the rest of fashion month has in store !
